Handy Maintenance Assistant - Sydney

We are seeking a Handy Maintenance Assistant to support one of our properties in beautiful Sydney.

You will work as part of a high-performing maintenance team, ensuring the property is safe, well-maintained and well-presented.

  • Fitting, testing, repairing and replacing fixtures and fittings, including lightbulbs, windows, doors, and handrails.
  • Performing basic plumbing maintenance and repairs on taps, basins and toilets.
  • Performing basic carpentry, including hanging and replacing doors and operating power tools.
  • Performing minor welds to fabricate or repair fixtures.
  • Checking safety equipment such as fire hoses, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and alarms.
  • Reporting requirements for significant repairs to management.
  • Clearing gutters and common areas of rubbish and debris.
  • Applying and repairing paint and plaster.
  • Changing locks on doors and windows.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience with handyman duties or hold an applicable trade.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Professional approach in dealing with guests and other staff members whilst carrying out your daily tasks.
