Youth Worker Role

  • Work directly with young people in foster and residential care to provide additional support for their development, safety, and well-being.
About the Job

The role involves establishing meaningful relationships with young individuals, understanding their needs, and creating a nurturing environment that encourages personal growth and stability.

This position requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage daily interactions and tasks while collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.

Suitable Candidate:

  • A Certificate IV in a relevant child welfare course or enrolled and working towards completion is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience working in residential care and/or with young people in a child protection or community service context is essential.
  • Solid experience working with young people who have significant emotional and psychological support needs is necessary.
  • A driver's license is required.
  • Possessing or having the ability to obtain a National Police Check, Blue Card (Working with Children), and a Licensed Care Services certification is mandatory.
