Technical Advisor

The primary objective of this role is to provide expert guidance on scope of work matters, encompassing what tasks can be performed under various license types and classes.
- Provide advisory services on course equivalency matters.
- Conduct research and collaborate with relevant subject matter experts (SMEs) and external stakeholders to identify and propose agency positions on complex or contentious licensing issues.
- Constructively participate in the preparation of internal and external communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Scope of Work AdviceEngage in thorough research, coordination, and analysis to develop advice and recommendations on legislative and technical aspects of licensing, including scope of work, qualifications, and training.
Communication SkillsDemonstrate exceptional communication skills involving diverse audiences.
Relationship ManagementManage relationships and resolve problems to deliver and promote quality customer service.
No formal education prerequisites are required; however, qualifications in law, vocational training, licensing, or technical aspects of the building industry would be highly regarded.
This position description outlines the minimum requirements for the position. The incumbent may be required to undertake other duties as necessary.
Official business travel may be required, and a C-class license is mandatory.
