We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Acute General Surgery. This is a fixed-term, part-time position working 40 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 7 February 2026.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical advice and leadership in acute general surgical nursing within the unit and across the Royal Hobart Hospital.
- Support and promote an environment that fosters teaching, quality improvement, risk mitigation, and research activities within an acute surgical nursing environment.
- Coordinate the care provided to patients according to individual needs and in line with legal requirements.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to improve the outcomes of Acute General Surgery patients. You will also have the chance to contribute to quality improvement initiatives and coordinate care for Acute General Surgery patients.
Requirements- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
- Has, or is working towards, a relevant postgraduate qualification.
