Clinical Nurse Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our team in the Acute Medical Unit. The successful candidate will provide clinical nursing leadership and expertise in a contemporary acute care practice setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical nursing leadership and expertise in a contemporary acute care practice setting.
  • Undertake nursing assessments, contribute to planning, and coordinate the delivery of services to patients admitted to the AMU.
  • Develop effective relationships with other service providers across the hospital and within the community to improve services and service access.
  • Actively incorporate teaching, practice-based research, and quality activities within the role to improve standards of care.
About the Team:

The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a 25-bed high acuity unit focusing on Acute Medicine, with a strong multidisciplinary approach to healthcare. We foster a supportive and inclusive environment for learning, including access to professional and career development, with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and recognition.

What We Offer:
  • A permanent, part-time, shift worker position working 28 hours per fortnight.
  • A salary of $111,506 to $118,336 per annum (pro rata).
  • 11.5% superannuation contribution.
  • Access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Eligibility:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
