Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development life cycle, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our products.

Your primary focus will be on testing changes and new features added across our platforms, creating detailed test plans and documentation to track outcomes, and liaising with developers and other stakeholders to have defects and quality issues corrected.

You will also ensure that the final work product meets all the requirements of the feature's scope and validate and verify that features and functions are working as intended.

In addition to your technical skills, you will educate software engineers on common defects and mentor them in improving their own self-testing abilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 1-3 years' experience working within the software development life cycle
  • Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to identify user experience problems
  • Good understanding of software development and programming
  • Curious and able to 'think outside the box' to determine niche edge cases
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Linux environments and command line interfaces
  • Understanding of relational databases (particularly MySQL) and confidence in writing SQL queries
  • Ability to create specific test scenarios through manual manipulation
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services
