Curtin University is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill a part-time Research Associate position in the field of women's health. The successful applicant will work on a variety of established and emerging projects, contributing to innovative research that improves the health outcomes of women, children, and families. As a Research Associate, you will be employed on a fixed-term contract, working 0.6 FTE, with the potential for extension.
- Conduct high-quality research, including grant writing, protocol development, ethics applications, stakeholder consultation, data collection, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with the Graduate Research Internship Program at King Edward Memorial Hospital to advance midwifery research and practice.
- Demonstrate a record of research outputs in high-quality refereed journals and communicate research findings to various stakeholders.
- Exercise high-level organisational skills, with proficiency in project management, to meet established goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building a collegial and supportive working environment.
The preferred candidate will possess a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Public Health or Midwifery, and have experience in supervision of HDR students. A history of successful competitive grant applications is also desirable.
Please note that this is a part-time position, and the successful applicant will be required to work 0.6 FTE. The position is fixed-term for 12 months, with the potential for extension.
