Energy and Utilities Manager

The role of Energy and Utilities Manager is crucial in our mission to lead the circular economy through sustainable solutions. As a key member of our centralised Group Procurement team, you will play a pivotal role in managing Pact's energy needs globally.
You will assess renewable energy proposals, develop category plans, and execute sourcing and procurement activities for utilities across various regulated and de-regulated markets.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in the electricity sector, with proven knowledge of energy and gas procurement and contract management. You will be able to balance commercial and environmental considerations, assessing ways to reduce consumption and identify cost-effective opportunities.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Category Management strategy aligned with business objectives and key stakeholders.
- Identify and execute energy purchasing opportunities through progressive purchasing contracts or long-term fixed deals.
- Use your analytical mindset to review energy optimisation and renewable energy proposals to assist with reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
- Lead and drive supplier relationships, ensuring key aspects relating to risk management, quality, ethical sourcing, sustainability, and legal compliance are considered.
- Manage day-to-day energy contracts, leveraging your problem-solving ability and commercial acumen.

We seek a collaborative and driven procurement professional with a passion for energy and sustainability. You will be highly numerate and analytical, with a degree in science, engineering, economics, or a similar discipline.
