About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Manager to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of high-quality patient care services in an acute hospital setting.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing operational management of after-hours nursing services
  • Leading and developing nursing staff to ensure high standards of patient care
  • Implementing and monitoring policies, procedures, and bed management strategies to improve patient flow
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain safe, efficient, and person-centred care

What We Are Looking For

We require a practiced Registered Nurse with current authority to practice, relevant tertiary qualification in management, and extensive post-graduate clinical and management experience in an acute healthcare setting.

You Will Bring To The Role

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with motivation, delegation, negotiation, and knowledge of clinical evidence-based acute health assessment, treatment, and care
  • Proven ability to provide leadership, manage resources, and drive change with a commitment to professional development
  • Computer literacy including working knowledge of staff scheduling systems
  • Understanding of bed management/patient flow objectives in an acute health setting and ability to resolve complex problems using information technology systems
  • Ability to prioritise and manage complex, competing, and challenging situations, including clinical and corporate risk
  • Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to lead organisational change in patient care
