Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Home Furnishing Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the sales areas are always stocked, well-presented, attractively merchandised, and correctly priced.

You will assist customers in understanding their needs and actively sell the IKEA range, being an expert on product features, benefits, and promotions. You will also prepare sales spaces for replenishment by condensing stock using safe manual handling techniques.

In addition, you will assemble IKEA products according to proper assembly methods and instructions to ensure complete functionality and strong presentation. Building strong relationships with your team and departments across the store is essential to contribute to a collaborative, inclusive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring sales areas are stocked, well-presented, and correctly priced
  • Assisting customers in understanding their needs and actively selling the IKEA range
  • Preparing sales spaces for replenishment
  • Assembling IKEA products
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues and departments
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A passion for home furnishings and sharing the IKEA range with visitors
  • High level communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities
  • An authentic approach to generating sales, paired with a professional, self-motivated approach towards achieving sales targets and KPIs
  • A 'Togetherness' mindset, with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with colleagues
  • Curious and self-driven learner with proficient computer skills
  • Comfortable with physical work and regular manual handling

  • Roles available: Permanent Full-time 76hrs per fortnight; Permanent Part-time 40-60hrs per fortnight

  • Must be available to work a rotating roster with shifts scheduled between 8:00am and 10:00pm and 3 out of 4 weekends (both Saturday and Sunday)
