We are seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
As a Support Worker, you will work collaboratively within the team to provide support and service to participants in line with the values of our organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care including toileting, showering, dressing and feeding as required.
- Admin duties such as completing progress notes, charts and incidental reports.
- Transporting participants to events and appointments.
- Helping participants explore their interests and hobbies through range of programs and recreational activities.
The available role would support participants with complex mental health diagnosis. The role is largely working in isolation with participants and the successful applicant would have demonstrated experience in challenging behaviours, restrictive practices, behaviour management, mental health, medication administration, strong communication skills and flexibility in methods of alternative and augmentative communication.
