BEC Engineering is a well-established and respected Electrical, Power and Control System Engineering consultancy located in West Perth.

We are currently involved in a range of projects both within Australia, and with further excellent project opportunities in the pipeline.

Role Description

This is a site based position on FIFO 8/6 roster based in the WA Goldfields.

Primary responsibilities will be:

  • Supervise and coordinate the commissioning activities of multi-disciplinary team. Oversee and monitor activities of sub-contractor teams.
  • Plan and schedule electrical work to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure all vendor execution packages comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Liaise with design consultants, sub-contractors and client operations teams.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and safety incidents.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on site.
Qualifications

Candidates will have;

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering (not essential).
  • Electrical trades certifications and Electricians License or Electrical Contractor License.
  • EEHA Certification
  • Construction White Card
Experience
  • 10 - 15 years experience with site based electrical systems commissioning and installation for mineral processing operations.
  • Solid track record managing and overseeing sub-contractors, package vendors and consultants.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards and State regulations.
  • Track record in maintaining safety culture.
