The Aurora Education Foundation is seeking a Data Analyst to support the organisation in using data to achieve its objectives.
This role involves applying skills and experience in data management, analysis, and data visualisation to assist staff at all levels in making data-driven decisions.
- Key responsibilities include working collaboratively to utilise the foundation's CE database to meet data needs, analysing external datasets to support wider knowledge translation and advocacy activities, and providing regular internal and external reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- The role also involves supporting adherence to Indigenous data sovereignty principles in all data activities, promoting and upholding Indigenous data governance frameworks, and assisting program teams by applying digital literacy across the CE platform to extract, analyse, and present data that supports reporting and decision-making.
- A tertiary degree in IT, Business Intelligence, Data Science or equivalent.
- Experience using R, Python, Stata or equivalent statistical package to undertake data analysis.
- Utilised Power BI and Excel to generate recurring and ad hoc reports for various business units.
- Experience in database management, application building, data analytics and reporting.
- Possesses strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate across teams.

As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving organisational success through data-driven insights. You will be responsible for managing, analysing and presenting data to inform business decisions, while ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and security are maintained.
