Information Technology Business Analyst

WSN is a global advisory, consulting, and resourcing firm specializing in services and resources for the financial services industry.
Gather customer requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
Evaluate requirements from multiple sources, resolve conflicts, deconstruct complex information, and distinguish user requests from underlying needs.
Translate requirements into technical and functional specifications; prepare documentation for business processes and product configuration.
Design and implement insurance products and claims data models based on customer requirements.
Use platform tools to build user interfaces and journeys for insurance products.
Implement business rules and financial calculations using scripting languages within the platform.
Prepare and perform system and integration testing; support customer testing.
Analyze data conversion needs and define data transformation and mapping.
Facilitate stakeholder discussions, prepare presentations, and interpret project data visually and in writing.
Produce, manage, and update client-facing documentation and system/business process documents.
Manage customer inquiries and coordinate project delivery with internal teams and third parties.
Handle project scope, plan, and cost changes; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
Create and maintain project documentation including change requests and risk registers.
Collaborate with development teams to specify and design new platform features.
Understand the full software development lifecycle.
Have experience as a business analyst or technical business analyst.
Proficient in creating various documentation such as business requirements, process maps, and technical specifications.
Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
Experience configuring large or complex software packages.
Understanding of relational databases.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Experience in insurance policy and claims functions (highly desirable).
Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
