Accounts Receivable Officer
The role of the Accounts Receivable Officer is pivotal in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of customer payments. This involves analyzing customer financial conditions, recommending credit limits, and maintaining accurate credit files according to policy.
Credit Management:
- Analyze customer financial condition and recommend customer credit limits based on established credit policies.
- Monitor accounts receivable portfolios to identify potential risks and take immediate action to mitigate them.
Cash Collection:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing and allocation of cash receipts/remittances to customer accounts.
- Evaluate cash sales and daily cash receipts for matching with invoices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve overdue accounts with customers, providing supporting information where required.
- Email monthly statements to customers.
- Manage cross-function relationships with Sales, customers, and other teams to ensure credit decisions are presented effectively.
Reporting:
- Prepare weekly reports on aging receivables with commentary.
- Update AR Credit Risk Scorecard at month-end for internal management and Corporate with appropriate commentary.
Month-End Reporting:
- Responsible for month-end balancing of AR Sub-ledger to General Ledger.
- Manage Accounts Receivable month-end close process in NetSuite.
