Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team at Western Truck Repairs in Melbourne. As a Heavy Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles to ensure their optimal performance and reliability.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose damaged suspension parts and mechanical components
  • Dismantle and fit new mechanical and suspension parts
  • Removal and replacement of various truck, bus, and trailer parts
  • Quality control and inspection of vehicles
  • Ensure all repairs meet quality standards
  • Label parts and store as per workshop standards
  • Check new parts are correct and undamaged
  • Perform any adaptations based on completed diagnoses
Requirements
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Be able to lift and move heavy equipment and parts
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
