Lead Maternity Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Lead Maternity Nurse Specialist to join our Women's Services Unit. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to promoting a positive birthing experience.

The successful candidate will utilize their specialized skills and knowledge to shape exceptional patient journeys every day. They will leverage our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing, ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and infants alike.

About the Role
  • This is a 14-bed unit featuring a Level 2B nursery with 6 beds and an 8-bed L&D/Mother Baby Unit.
  • We have an average of 50 deliveries per month and a below-average C-section rate.

As a Lead Maternity Nurse Specialist, you will have the opportunity to cross-train in each area of this department to gain experience. You will be part of a team that ensures comprehensive care for expectant mothers and newborns.

Key Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, applicants should have:

  • A valid RN license in NC or a compact state.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days and maintained.
  • Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year and maintained thereafter.
  • Current AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification within 1 year of hire and maintained thereafter.
