Senior Legal Advisor: Employment Law

Seeking a seasoned employment law expert to support our Asia Pacific operations and growth strategy. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic legal advice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver pragmatic legal guidance on employment law matters, including:
  • Recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with regional regulations.
  • Compensation, benefits, and executive remuneration structures, aligned with industry best practices.
  • Leaves of absence, disability accommodations, and flexible working arrangements, promoting employee well-being.
  • Contingent worker and contractor management, balancing business needs with regulatory requirements.
  • Development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, fostering a culture of compliance and excellence.
  • Performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievances, resolving issues promptly and fairly.
  • Conducting internal investigations, ensuring thoroughness and impartiality.
  • Managing redundancies and reorganisations, minimising disruption and maximising outcomes.
  • Advising on employee representative bodies, navigating complex relationships and negotiations.
  • Drafting, negotiating, and enforcing employment-related agreements, templates, and forms, protecting the company's interests.
  • Designing and implementing scalable, compliant employment policies and programmes, supporting rapid growth and global expansion.
  • Conducting regular reviews and audits of employment-related policies, processes, and practices, ensuring ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
  • Assisting in managing and resolving employment-related disputes, governmental agency actions, and litigation matters, mitigating risks and protecting the company's reputation.
  • Monitoring changes and updates to employment laws across the Asia Pacific region, providing proactive advice on developments affecting the company's operations.
Requirements:
  • Able to balance risks and benefits of complex legal situations, providing clear, commercial advice.
