About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team at Swinburne University of Technology. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our enterprise architecture and driving the strategic direction of new and existing technologies that support university operations.

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will define and uphold the strategic plan and enterprise architecture for specific business domains within Swinburne. Collaboration with business leaders and technology experts is essential to create and implement an enterprise-wide architecture that aligns with our strategic goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with the business to understand their goals and strategies, then develop aligned technology strategies.
  • Work closely with business leaders to identify business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Create and maintain the blueprint of our organisation's Enterprise Architecture, including principles, standards, and guidelines.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of roadmaps, identify potential areas of investment, and recommend technology improvements.
  • Work with development teams to ensure that all implementations are aligned with solution architectures and overall architecture principles, patterns, and standards.
  • In collaboration with the IT Cyber Security and Risk team, ensure that relevant cyber security standards and principles are embedded throughout the enterprise architecture, supporting principles, and process, and associated technical standards.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant IT discipline with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • TOGAF certified
