About the Role

The RMIT University is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect to lead the development and implementation of its technology strategy. As a key member of the Architecture & Software Engineering group, you will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide transformation and innovation, ensuring alignment with the University's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture across the University, including Reference Architecture, blueprints, and roadmaps.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on solution architecture, platform, and technology strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT Services groups, business leaders, and stakeholders to identify and analyze business needs and develop solutions.
  • Lead the development of architecture artefacts, migration, and implementation plans for complex transformation projects.
  • Ensure the University's technology ecosystem is aligned with its strategic vision and goals.
Requirements
  • Three+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect in large, complex organizations.
  • Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly collaborative and supportive of business and its ideas and strategies.
  • General maturity across EA frameworks and their practical application.
  • Understanding and conveying the value of enterprise architecture and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Familiarity with EA modelling tools and experience with Essential Cloud an advantage.
  • Understanding of data architecture, integration architecture, and institutional research.
  • Experience working as Enterprise Data Architect or related roles.
  • Practical approach to decision making and problem solving.
  • Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends.
  • Knowledge and experience in TOGAF and implementing Enterprise Architecture tools.
