About the Role

  • We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to oversee Statutory Reporting and Policy team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on legislation, frameworks, policies, and practices relevant to financial management and governance.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial reporting in line with statutory requirements and best practices.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the Financial Management Practice Manual and associated policies and guidelines.
  • Build staff capability through coaching, mentoring, and professional development strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the preparation, review, and submission of monthly and annual reporting to meet legislative and government requirements, processes, and obligations.
  • Successful experience in providing accounting advice and support to Senior Management in respect of financial policy initiatives, accounting guidelines, accounting standards, and advanced accounting and business processes aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Demonstrated public service professionalism and probity, and engagement in continuous improvement of work practices, systems, and processes.
  • Demonstrated high-level expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word, and a good working knowledge of SAP or a similar finance system.
