The Role

As a Junior Immigration Lawyer, you will work closely with senior lawyers, learning how to handle challenging cases. You will gain hands-on experience in every aspect of immigration law, from employer-sponsored visas to complex tribunal matters.

You will also collaborate with experienced lawyers, ensuring that your growth and development in this field are second to none.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior lawyers, assisting with typical transactional cases, including visa applications, appeals, and ministerial intervention requests.
  • Prepare submissions, legal arguments, and supporting documentation for clients.
  • Attend hearings, client meetings, and consultations, gaining exposure to a wide variety of cases.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on Australian immigration law and policy changes.
  • Develop strong client relationships, providing professional and empathetic legal assistance.

Requirements:

  • Candidates with completed legal studies and ready to take on a full-time legal role are preferred.
  • Candidates with experience in Australian immigration law are preferred.
  • Must have full work rights if a temporary visa holder. We may offer employer sponsorship.
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple cases simultaneously.
  • A passion for immigration law and a genuine commitment to helping clients navigate complex legal processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients from diverse backgrounds.
