They are looking to hire a projects or energy lawyer at the 2-6 PQE level, to be based in their Sydney office.We're seeking a proactive and motivated projects or energy lawyer to support a dynamic and growing legal team.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of front-end project development, regulatory and commercial matters in a company that is accelerating Australia's transition.This role will give you the chance to engage in impactful work with constant opportunities for professional growth.
You will become part of a high-performing, supportive and innovative business and be able to contribute to an exciting, fast-paced industry.About the Role Advise on legal, compliance and regulatory aspects of energy storage projects across the full project lifecycle from origination, development, financing, construction, delivery and operation.Lead and support due diligence and negotiation of project agreements, including MOUs, landowner agreements, equipment supply and EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and power offtake arrangements.Provide legal input on governance, policies, and corporate legal work.Work closely with commercial and project delivery teams on procurement, contract management and risk.Monitor relevant regulatory and legislative changes in the renewables and energy storage space.Instruct and manage external legal counsel.What type of person will be successful?
Admitted as a lawyer in Australia.Practising as a projects, energy or infrastructure lawyer for 2-6 years in private practice or in-house.Experience advising on development, construction and financing of large-scale renewables or infrastructure projects would be beneficial but not essential.Familiarity with regulatory and risk frameworks in the energy sector.Strong drafting, negotiation and contract management skills.Collaborative, adaptable and self-motivated, with a commercial mindset.Enjoys working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.If you are interested in this role, please apply below or contact Jake on #J-18808-Ljbffr
