Senior Manufacturing Technician Job Overview

Job Description

As a Senior Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing, repair and maintenance of artificial limbs, carbon fibre and silicone orthotic devices and myoelectric prostheses according to prescription specifications.

You will work in a state-of-the-art workshop within an established team of technicians. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in silicone prosthetics and orthotics manufacturing, as well as design, order, manufacture and fit myoelectric prosthetic devices to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, manufacture and fit custom devices for a broad range of client needs
  • Lead the silicone manufacturing department and ensure high-quality devices are produced
  • Communicate with clinical and technical staff on matters of design, logistics and best practice
  • Maintain accurate records and meet quality control standards
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • A Diploma level or higher qualification in a relevant field, such as Orthotics, Prosthetics or Occupational therapy
  • Minimum five years' experience as a manufacturing technician in the same or a similar role
  • Previous documented experience of silicone and myoelectrics manufacturing
  • Current national criminal history check

This is a permanent, full-time role with flexible working hours available and the option to work a 34-hour week over four days. A competitive salary package is offered to the successful applicant.
