Job Opportunity

GHD is seeking applications for Entry-Level Drafters/Designers to join our Northern Australia business. With multiple roles available in Darwin, this is a rare opportunity to kick-start your drafting/design career with a diverse organisation, dedicated to the development of our people and their careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the preparation of drawings using AutoCAD and other design/drafting software in the field of engineering, projects range from; architecture & interiors, civil infrastructure, transport and water
  • Collaborating with senior team members on various technical tasks and taking guidance in support of your role
  • Developing your knowledge of GHD's Corporate Drafting Manual and other relevant systems, tools and processes
  • Attending TAFE or University and maintaining requirements of a Traineeship or Cadetship, which will include a combination of work-based training and formal training.
Requirements
  • QCE (or equivalent) completion with strong academic results in Mathematics and English
  • Experience in AutoCAD desirable but not essential
  • Strong desire to build a rewarding career as a professional drafter/designer
  • Well-developed communication skills and a proven attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer skills coupled with a positive attitude and a desire to learn
  • Genuine interest in technical drawing and engineering
