About the Role

GHD is seeking talented individuals to join our Northern Australia business as Entry-Level Drafters/Designers. This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in drafting and design with a diverse organization dedicated to the development of our people and their careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of drawings using AutoCAD and other design/drafting software in the field of engineering, projects range from architecture & interiors, civil infrastructure, transport and water
  • Collaborate with senior team members on various technical tasks and take guidance in support of your role
  • Develop your knowledge of GHD's Corporate Drafting Manual and other relevant systems, tools and processes
  • Attend TAFE or University and maintain requirements of a Traineeship or Cadetship, which will include a combination of work-based training and formal training
Requirements
  • QCE (or equivalent) completion with strong academic results in Mathematics and English
  • Experience in AutoCAD desirable but not essential
  • Strong desire to build a rewarding career as a professional drafter/designer
  • Well-developed communication skills and a proven attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer skills coupled with a positive attitude and a desire to learn
  • Genuine interest in technical drawing and engineering
