Skilled Handyman Wanted for Aged Care Facility

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced handyman to work in an aged care facility in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

The ideal candidate will have experience in reactive and preventative maintenance, with a proactive approach to problem solving. They will be responsible for minor building works/repairs, general maintenance, tile repairs, minor concreting and/or paving, general labour and manual handling activities.

In addition, they will need to maintain and repair tools and equipment, and ensure all documents and records are provided to the relevant administrator in a timely and accurate manner.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous handyman experience in an aged care facility or similar environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A reasonable level of literacy
  • A reasonable level of mathematical skill

In return, you will receive:

  • $30-35 per hour + Superannuation
  • Full time hours, Monday to Friday
  • A permanent position with job security and leave entitlements
