The Star Brisbane is seeking a Quality and Supplier Engagement Lead to oversee the seamless flow of food and beverage products received and distributed through the Loading Dock.
This pivotal role will ensure that all items meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with relevant food authority regulations and legislative requirements.
You will work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and regulatory bodies to uphold the integrity of our food supply chain, ensuring that every product delivered to our operations is safe, compliant, and of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure Loading Docks are compliant with procedures for the purpose of housekeeping.
- Monitor short dates and report on any products issues on the Loading Dock.
- Work with Warehouse & Logistics Manager to train and comply all Loading Dock staff with Quality processes & procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date reporting tools and follow through for close-off accordingly.
- Attend supplier engagement meetings to discuss daily operations and install proactive communication and solutions.
- Review and monitor food and beverage goods received to the Loading Dock, including expiry dates, weight, quality, packaging, and temperature checks.
- Liaise with suppliers to conduct regular inspections of delivery vehicles, ensuring food safety standards are in effect.
- Work with outlet Chefs to ensure all orders are received and stored in a timely manner each day.

This role requires experience in a Food & Beverage production environment, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable), and an understanding of laws related to the organisation, particularly the Liquor Act, Responsible Service of Alcohol programme, Industrial Relations laws, and WHS laws.
