**About the role**
We are excited to offer a newly created opportunity for a Sourcing Specialist to join our team.
This pivotal role involves developing and executing a comprehensive procurement strategy, ensuring efficient sourcing, cost savings, and effective vendor management across various categories. You will play a key role in leading cross-functional sourcing projects, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating high-value contracts to support the company's objectives in cost, quality, and sustainability.
- Lead and manage the organisation's procurement strategy, focusing on sourcing efficiency, cost savings, and vendor management.
- Negotiate and manage high-value contracts, ensuring compliance with APRA-regulated policies and procedures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to achieve procurement objectives and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Drive global supply chain management initiatives and manage complex supply chains in multi-site or multinational environments.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure cost, quality, and sustainability objectives are met.
- Utilise procurement software tools such as ServiceNow, SAP,., and Ariba to streamline processes and improve sourcing efficiency.
**About you**
As a Sourcing Specialist, you will work closely with key departments and stakeholders to manage complex supply chains, ensuring compliance with APRA-regulated prudential standards. With a focus on strategic sourcing, you'll utilise your strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive procurement innovation while supporting organisational growth. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in procurement, with a background in insurance and banking or other regulated environments highly regarded.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of interpreting data and making strategic recommendations.
- Excellent negotiation skills with experience managing high-value contracts and supplier relationships.
- Solid project management abilities, with a focus on deadlines and results.
- A strategic mindset and the ability to think long-term, with an innovative approach to procurement.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (ServiceNow, SAP,. Ariba).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing business needs in a dynamic environment.
