
Cybersecurity Identity Analyst

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as an Identity and Access Management Business Analyst. You will be working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and security professionals to ensure that IAM initiatives align with organizational goals.
The successful candidate will have experience with IAM technologies, such as Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Okta, or other identity and access management solutions. They will also have familiarity with cloud-based IAM solutions, such as Microsoft 365, Azure AD, or Google Workspace.
A strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex IAM concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and security professionals to understand IAM requirements, challenges, and opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to gather requirements and elicit stakeholder feedback.
- Document and analyze existing IAM processes, identifying inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create process flow diagrams, swimlane diagrams, and other visual aids to communicate complex IAM processes.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for IAM solutions.
- Develop detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and use cases.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate and comprehensive requirements.
- Evaluate the potential business impact of IAM-related changes, including new technologies, policy updates, and process improvements.
- Assess the associated risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption and maximize benefits.
- Support the development of project charter, scope statements, and other project documentation.
- Participate in project meetings, status updates, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and present clear, concise, and actionable reports on IAM initiatives, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and training sessions to educate business users on IAM best practices and tools.
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement of IAM processes, policies, and procedures.
- Stay updated on IAM trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements, sharing insights with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 1 year in an IAM or cybersecurity context.
- Proven track record of successfully managing IAM requirements, projects, or initiatives.
- Experience working with IT teams, security professionals, and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex IAM concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio, or draw.io).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project).
- Knowledge of identity and access management principles, best practices, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, and COBIT).
