The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a key role in safeguarding ATCO Australia's digital assets.
Reporting to the Cybersecurity Lead, this position is responsible for monitoring, analysing and responding to security events and incidents to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability and reliability of ATCO's information systems and data.
This role directly supports the organisation's strategic objective of maintaining a secure and resilient digital environment across both IT and OT landscape
What Success Looks Like Prompt identification and resolution of security incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Proactive use of threat intelligence to anticipate, assess, and mitigate emerging cyber threats.
Continuous surveillance of systems and networks to detect anomalies and potential breaches in real time.
Accurate and detailed recording of security incidents, investigations, and outcomes to support audit readiness and continuous improvement.
Strong engagement with IT, risk and business units to enhance organisational security awareness and resilience.
Active contribution to the refinement of security operations processes, tools, and playbooks to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Exposure & Experience
Qualifications A degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 1 year focused on IT security and governance.
Familiarity with frameworks like NIST CSF, AESCSF, or ITIL.
Hands-on experience with tools like Endpoint Protection, SIEM, PAM, Vulnerability Management, and IAM.
Experience in incident response, risk assessment, and working across teams.
Your Background Experience in commercial or critical infrastructure environments, with a clear understanding of the stakes.
Exposure to audit and compliance processes, with the ability to translate findings into actionable improvements.
Confidence navigating both IT and OT landscapes and bridging the gap between them.
