Job Overview

This pivotal role supports research transparency and security at a leading university. As the Manager of Transparency & Disclosure, you will lead initiatives to manage potential risks around conflicts of interest and foreign interests.

You will work collaboratively across the institution, providing expert advice on complex governance issues and delivering effective programs that impact the entire research community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expert Guidance: Offer high-quality advice on complex scenarios related to conflicts of interest to diverse stakeholders.
  • Disclosure Processes: Lead delivery of conflict of interest and foreign interest disclosure programs, including executive-level reporting.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize data handling, business processes, and training programs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and deliver briefings and presentations to senior stakeholders and committees on research transparency and disclosure activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strategic thinking and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to provide expert advice on complex issues and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of research integrity principles and the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.
  • Highly developed analytical thinking and judgment to interpret complex information and work through ethical questions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience in delivering high-quality programs at scale.
  • High level of organisational capability and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
