The Fire and Emergency Preparedness Manager role is a key position within the Security department at Echo Entertainment Group's The Star Sydney property.

This critical function reports directly to the Senior Manager, Development and Capability and is responsible for ensuring all regulatory, statutory, and compliance-based requirements are met in relation to emergency preparedness training and evacuation procedures across The Star Sydney property.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and maintaining the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) Membership Register as directed by the EPC and in accordance with AS3745 guidelines.

Ongoing tasks also involve undertaking an annual review of The Star Sydney Emergency Management Plan, recommending changes and presenting them to the EPC.

In addition, this role will liaise and coordinate with property tenants regarding emergency preparedness, response, and training requirements.

Essential duties also involve monitoring local, national, and global threat and incident trends related to emergency management that may impact The Star Sydney, providing relevant information, advice, and guidance as needed.

This role requires coordinating and administering all internal site-specific emergency preparedness training and administration requirements in accordance with relevant statutory, regulatory, and standards in support of The Star Sydney's Emergency Control Organisation, Asset Protection, and other business units as directed by the Senior Manager, Development and Capability.

An additional responsibility includes conducting, coordinating, or administering emergency preparedness training and assessing new personnel in relation to emergency management and response.

Salary Estimate

Based on industry standards and market research, we estimate the salary range for this position to be between $90,000 and $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly experienced professional with a strong background in fire and emergency management, AS3745, AS1851, AS1670, and AS2118.

Candidates should have experience with emergency response methodologies, practice, systems, alarms, infrastructure, and equipment.

Additionally, applicants must demonstrate sound leadership and management skills, particularly in emergency response situations.

A minimum of a Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required, along with a current Security License Class 1A 2AD.
