Job Description:

The Logistics Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the efficient scheduling and delivery of bulk fuels from terminals to customer and company sites. This role requires a strong background in transportation and logistics, with the ability to handle changing situations under pressure and make optimal decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling deliveries to minimize operating costs through effective load maximization, route planning and driver scheduling
  • Entering scheduled deliveries and delivery details into the database in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Liaising with drivers, customers and transport sub-contractors on a daily basis
  • Supporting depot operations, including trip processing and dispatch activities
  • Remote monitoring of fuel tank levels across sites
  • Meeting and exceeding customer service level requirements
  • Scheduling trucks servicing and maintenance
  • Managing driver rosters and timesheets

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in scheduling or logistics coordination is an advantage but not essential
  • Good understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) and national heavy vehicles regulatory requirements
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel
