Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Operations: Under general supervision, you will coordinate the work of Operator Assistants and Service Operators at the job site during the operation of surface or down hole well logging equipment.
  • Job Site Management: You will coordinate the activities of Operator Assistants and Service Operators during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment.
  • Pre-Job Calculations: You will perform pre-job calculations as required.
  • Customer Communication: You will obtain pertinent service work information from the customer and effectively communicate appropriate information to assigned worksite staff.
  • Progress Updates: You will communicate pre-job and on-the-job progress to the customer.
  • Issue Resolution: You will communicate and negotiate with the customer to resolve issues concerning invoicing service irregularities.
  • Sales Opportunities: You will recognize possible sales opportunities for the Company's other products and services and communicate information to Service Coordinator or appropriate Company staff.
  • Training and Development: You will train and provide guidance to Service Operators and Operator Assistants in the proper performance of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports.
  • Equipment Training: You will train Service Operators and Operator Assistants in the assembly, operation, and maintenance of surface and down-hole well logging equipment including electric, nuclear, sonic, other well logging tools, and pressure control equipment.
  • Documentation: You will complete appropriate documents, reports, and forms that affect the financial results of the business unit (field ticket, etc.).
  • Job Impact: Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
  • Requirements: Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school diploma or similar education and 1 year of experience as Service Operator-L&P, II. Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required.
  • Communication Skills: Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
  • Knowledge and Compliance: You must be knowledgeable of HMS standards and guidelines for PSL personnel. You must promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and comply with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Quality Improvement: You will promote and take an active part in quality improvement processes.
