Job Title: Policy and Project Officer - Youth Justice and Exceptional Needs

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Project Officer to join our team in Youth Justice and Exceptional Needs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality policy advice and project management support to achieve strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective policy and project plans to meet strategic objectives
  • Provide timely and accurate policy advice to stakeholders
  • Liaise with government departments, non-government providers, and community-based organisations to advance whole-of-government initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the policy area and contribute to regular business planning reviews
  • Assist in developing the team's competence, provide mentoring, and encourage opportunities for professional development

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in criminology, law, justice studies, or related fields (desirable)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
