About the Business

Our Aboriginal Practice and Partnerships team coordinates activities that aim to improve outcomes for Aboriginal clients, their families and communities. This includes informing DHS policy and practice, supporting staff who are Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal working in Aboriginal-focused programs, and providing direct supports to Aboriginal young people and their families in partnership with community.

Role Details

The Senior Policy and Project Officer, Data and Analytics is a role within Community and Aboriginal Partnerships and is accountable to the Manager, Policy and Projects for:

  • Coordinating the development and implementation of strategic directions, complex policies and procedures which enhance service delivery within the Aboriginal Practice and Partnerships (APP) portfolio.
  • Providing meaningful data contributing to policy development by coordinating expert advice, evidence based planning and reporting.
  • Consulting and developing strong partnerships with departmental divisions and stakeholders to coordinate evidenced based planning and reporting.
  • Identifying and promoting system improvements and innovative solutions using data analysis.
