The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Support Specialist to join our IT team.

As a first point of contact, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective support to our customers, resolving technical issues, and escalating complex problems to the relevant teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and in-person
  • Manage the service desk database to effectively capture customer queries and issues
  • Escalate complex problems to the Application Systems Manager and other teams within IT
  • Contribute to routine system health checks and the resolution of technical issues

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Proven experience in customer service and technical support
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
