Job Title: Application Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to join our team at Wintringham. As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will be responsible for managing Enterprise Applications, monitoring and actioning system upgrades, and maintaining knowledge of best practice and prevailing developments in IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Wintringham to achieve its strategic IT goals by managing Enterprise Applications.
  • Monitor and action system upgrades, system maintenance, and disaster recovery processes to ensure high availability and business continuity.
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of best practice and prevailing developments in IT and apply these to promote continuous improvement at Wintringham.
  • Manage the organisation's business intelligence/reporting tools to support operations, continuous improvement, and business decision making.
  • Ensure effective application security practices are in place and adhered to, including auditing.
  • Work closely with the IT PMO team to deliver on new application projects.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role, Vendor Support/ Consulting, or IT Consulting role.
  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude and ability to think on your feet.
  • Exceptional communication skills (Written and Verbal).
  • Strong hands-on technical expertise with a range of technologies, including 'Off-the-shelf' Enterprise Applications in a Microsoft environment, SQL Server, Reporting Services, and general reporting skills.
  • A readiness to learn new technologies as required.
  • Ability to liaise with staff at every level of the organization.
