Career Transition Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Career Transition Specialist to support individuals with disability, injury or health conditions as they prepare for a meaningful career. You will guide people through the job-readiness journey, helping them build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their career goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience in employment services and supporting people with diverse needs. They will be able to work closely with clients to plan their next career steps and help them find the right job. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
  • Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience, and group-based activities.
  • Collaborate with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
  • Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.

You bring empathy, energy, and a drive to make a difference. You may have experience or a genuine passion for employment services. You're confident supporting people, building trust, and guiding them toward meaningful and sustainable careers.

You're outcomes-focused, highly organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-first environment. You enjoy getting to know each client's strengths, goals, and challenges to coach them effectively and build confidence.

Essential Criteria
  • Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g., Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) – desirable.
  • Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions.
  • Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans.
  • Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends.
  • Current Driver's License - essential.
