We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Employment Consultant to join our team. As an Employment Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting veterans and their families in finding meaningful and sustainable employment.
This role involves building relationships with clients to understand their employment aspirations and work with them to outline transferable skills for the civilian job market. You will use your previous recruitment or employment services experience to determine the appropriate level of job-seeking support services and/or provide referral pathways to vocational providers.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Create customized and professional resumes and cover letters with attention to detail
- Assist with interpreting and responding to key selection criteria and advise on the creation of LinkedIn profiles
- Provide coaching of interview techniques and pre-employment advice and guidance
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Allied Health, Vocational Education, Human Services, Social Services or Human Resources (desirable) or relevant Certificate IV. Alternatively, they will have 2+ years' experience in Allied Health, Vocational Education, Human Services, Social Services or Human Resources, or 2+ years employment services experience, or 2+ years case management experience. They will also have experience delivering employment workshops, briefings and information sessions to clients and/or stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Contemporary knowledge of the labour market in addition to higher education options for career counselling
- Confident and proficient use of Microsoft Office and a Queensland Open Driver's licence
