Linux Enablement Leadership Opportunity

The role of Linux Enablement Software Engineering Manager involves leading and managing a software engineering team to deliver OEM enablement projects. This position requires excellent time management, deep knowledge of the Linux system, low-level debugging, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and strong management ability.

This fast-paced environment demands effective prioritization, goal-setting, and identification of team health indicators. The successful candidate will maximize the results of team members and support their career growth while maintaining a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Promote team success by recruiting, motivating, mentoring, and enabling your team members
  • Determine project goals with the team; prioritize tasks and monitor progress towards objectives
  • Identify and measure key performance indicators for team efficiency and productivity
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including project managers, QA, and certification management to ensure seamless project execution
  • Monitor projects from kickoff to completion and handle any escalations or issues that arise
  • Foster open communication and collaboration with stakeholders, customers, and technical teams to resolve challenges and address concerns
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and competing demands in a globally distributed team environment
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is required; Master's degree preferred
  • Proven track record in technical roles with experience in Linux, preferably Ubuntu or Debian
  • Strong commitment to development methodologies, testing best practices, and maintainable code quality
  • Experience in management responsibilities with a focus on leadership, mentorship, and team development
  • Excellent English language communication skills with strong written and verbal abilities
