Senior Construction Site Manager

This role entails overseeing daily activities on a construction site, managing subcontractors and labor for distribution center projects.

Responsibilities
  • Implement all safety protocols and quality programs to ensure strong performance in safety audits.
  • Manage the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and labor, maintaining strict control over the accuracy and quality of each work activity.
  • Identify and report problems or deficiencies to the Project Manager.
  • Review change orders with the Project Manager prior to execution.
  • Assist in preparation of project status reports.
  • Maintain open communication and goodwill with the client by coordinating pertinent work activities and attending project progress meetings.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years of construction experience as a superintendent with experience on distribution center projects.
  • The ability to travel extensively and temporarily reside at the project site for extended periods.
  • Capability of maintaining and following a Critical Path project schedule.
  • A thorough understanding of and ability to maintain current, complete set of project documents, blueprints, revisions, specifications, and related items.
  • The desire to succeed and drive excellence while meeting high standards.
  • The fortitude to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key qualifications include general computer skills and a willingness to expand use of new technologies for scheduling and reports.
