Medical Professional for Women's Health Services

The SA Health department is seeking a highly skilled Medical Practitioner/Consultant to join the Health & Recovery, Trauma Safety Services (HaRTSS) team in North Adelaide.
About the OpportunityThis 12-month casual on-call contract offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality community-based forensic medical services to women and men who have experienced sexual assault.
- Provide medicolegal examinations using evidence-based practice.
- Document and report findings for use within the legal system.
- Offer expert testimony regarding sexual assault issues and injury causation.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
- Experience in acute medical assessment and women's health, particularly in performing anogenital examinations.
- Knowledge of contemporary practice, issues, and research in sexual assault medicine and interpersonal violence.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal abilities.
