Medical Practitioner/Consultant Opportunity for Women's and Children's Health Network

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical practitioner/consultant to join our Health & Recovery, Trauma Safety Services (HaRTSS) team at the Women's and Children's Health Network.
About the Role- Provide high-quality community-based forensic medical services, utilizing evidence-based practice for medicolegal examinations of women and men who have experienced sexual assault.
- Prepare and submit documentation and reports for use within the legal system.
- Offer expert testimony regarding sexual assault issues and injury causation for the courts.
To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
Your experience should include:
- Acute medical assessment in an Emergency Department or other acute medical setting.
- Women's health, particularly in the performance of anogenital examinations.
- Knowledge of contemporary practice, issues, and research in relation to sexual assault medicine and interpersonal violence, as well as a commitment to a feminist analysis of the issue.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with individuals for positive health outcomes and foster productive working relationships both internally and externally.
