About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Kmart. As a key member of our store operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, leading the team during trading hours, and implementing strategies to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of retail staff to achieve sales and customer service targets
  • Implement and maintain store operations procedures to ensure efficient and effective store management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Monitor and control store inventory, stock levels, and merchandise presentation
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of store marketing and promotional activities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail management or supervisory role
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and customer service targets
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
