About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced mechanic to join our team at Skilled Jobs Australia. Our busy workshop in Cranbourne, VIC, requires a reliable and professional individual to work alongside our dedicated team of mechanics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles of all makes and models
  • Dismantling and removing engine parts and assemblies
  • Reassembling engine components after repair
  • Testing mechanical parts for competency and repairing if necessary
  • Inspecting vehicles and testing for roadworthiness

Customer Service and Cleaning Duties:

  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for clients
  • Performing cleaning duties as required to maintain a clean and organized workshop

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Full Victorian driver's license
  • AQF Cert III or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience or 3 years of relevant experience to substitute formal qualifications
  • Experience in servicing and repairing vehicles of all makes and models
  • Ability to work effectively as a team and independently
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Reliability, trustworthiness, and professionalism

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Roadworthy Certificate License

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Saturday (half day), with Saturday availability essential
  • Rostered Saturdays off

Salary and Benefits:

  • Negotiable salary based on experience
  • Overtime pay for Saturday shifts

Work Environment:

  • Full-time, contract position
