Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Construction Cost Planner to join our team. As a key member of the AWS Infrastructure Services team, you will be responsible for developing cost plans from feasibility to early design stage and supporting Pre-Construction Managers in establishing accurate budgets for upcoming Data Center projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing a cost planning and estimating system for the preconstruction stage.
  • Creating unit prices and an Amazon-specific rate library based on take-offs, historical costs, and market data.
  • Researching and analyzing construction cost trends through published sources, local market conditions, and studies to forecast construction costs for medium- and long-term planning.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve competitive market outcomes.
  • Managing external cost vendors to drive value and operational excellence.
  • Providing guidance and ongoing training to internal teams on using cost databases and budget development tools.
  • Collecting and evaluating lessons learned from recent project bids and costs to refine budget development tools.
