We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as a Technical Training Specialist in Melbourne.

About the Role

This role requires a strong understanding of Cummins Products and the ability to develop less experienced technicians and apprentices. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical training and coaching to Heavy Vehicle Technician Apprentices and new Technicians.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing technical training programs for Heavy Vehicle Technician Apprentices and new Technicians.
  • Delivering Diesel Engine Fundamentals and Basic Diagnostic training to all apprentices in the region.
  • Participating in regular meetings with the Capability Trainer team to discuss progress and provide updates on training plans.
  • Providing regular updates to Supervisors, Workshop Managers, and Service Managers on training program delivery schedules.
  • Maintaining a focus on apprentice safety by participating in extended pre-start meetings to ensure their understanding of workplace hazards and risk.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Advanced level knowledge of and experience with Heavy Duty Engine products.
  • Previous experience providing technical advice and coaching to apprentices/technicians (desired).
  • Possession of or willingness to work towards achieving a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Able to travel across the region as required.
