Early Career Mental Health Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Psychology Registrar to join our multidisciplinary team at Western Health. As a Psychology Registrar, you will play a vital role in supporting people with severe and enduring mental illness through a structured and well-supported learning program in a clinical practice environment.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in one of our mental health programs, including Adult Community Teams, Preventative and Recovery Care, and Specialist services – Perinatal Mental Health.
- Gain experience and skills in supporting people with severe and enduring mental illness.
- Engage in discipline-specific work alongside a structured education, learning, supervision, and support program.
- Develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
- General registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Masters or Doctoral level qualification in Clinical Psychology, approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Interest in working within public mental health as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to taking part in a Registrar Program.
- Willingness to work towards obtaining endorsement within the specified time period.
- Compliance with the Australian Psychological Society Code of Ethics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with people experiencing severe and enduring mental illness.
